The Skrib Acrylic Marker needs to be primed before use, to do so:
• with the top on, shake the marker firmly to get the ball moving,
• then, on a sheet of paper, press on the tip several times to soak it with paint.
Then, prime again each time it is necessary. The tip can be changed by turning it.
The Acrylic Binder auxiliary is used as an undercoat on porous surfaces (wood, terracotta, ...) to avoid a loss of gloss,
and it can be used as a varnish.
The Skrib markers can be applied to most light cotton or synthetic textiles. Once the product applied is dry, after 10 to
30 minutes of drying (depending on the thickness applied) at room temperature, the paint must be fixed by an adult:
• either by ironing in the cotton position (no steam) on the back of the fabric for 5 minutes
• or in a domestic oven for 5 minutes at 150 °C (stable temperature). The colours are washing-machine resistant at
40° C with no pre-wash, and can be washed by hand (except for metallic or pearlescent colours). The textiles should
be turned inside out to preserve the patterns when washing.
Tumble drying is not recommended.
Some fabrics require washing before the product is applied, to remove any primer.
The Skrib acrylic marker is easy to clean from skin with soap and water before drying. In the case of stains on textiles,
immediately wash the surface in hot water with soap. Repeat the operation if necessary until the stain has completely
disappeared. For tougher stains, using bleach-based or active oxygen-based textile stain removers can be successful
as long as their use is compatible with the garment in question. It is also recommended to use protective aprons for
works with children. Keep away from wallpaper, painted walls, untreated wood, etc. and other materials that cannot
be washed.
